Ethiopia is an ancient civilization.  In Hebrew Ethiopia and Cush are interchangeable.  In the 1980s the famine in Ethiopia brought her to the world’s attention.  The media broadcasted into our homes a country that was crippled; begging for food.  The famine was only in a section of Ethiopia.  Scripture tells us that Ethiopia was great from its beginning onward into the present time.  Ethiopia remains a great African civilization today.  One of the earliest Christian nations is rarely mentioned among mainstream Christianity in the West.  Ethiopia has preserved her history dating back over 3000 years, a country of biblical history and prophecy.  Psalm 68 is a messianic prophecy as well as Isaiah chapter 11 and Zephaniah chapter 3.  These prophecies are all connected mentioning Ethiopia and those of Hamitic African descent that will return to modern day Israel.  Psalm 68:31 speaks of Ethiopia stretching forth her hand unto God.  This prophecy has come to pass in part with the regathering of Israel and the return of the Ethiopian Jews.  Now 90,000 strong in Israel this is a messianic prophecy of the coming Kingdom age and the King! Zephaniah the Ethiopian Jewish prophet speaks of those returning from beyond the rivers of Ethiopia. (NileRiver). 

Isaiah pinpoints the places where those Jewish brothers of Hamitic descent would return.  Isaiah 11:11.  Cush is Ethiopia; Shinar was the name of the land known as Iraq.  The founder and First King of Iraq was Nimrod, a son of Cush.
